The Foreign Affairs Ministry reported two more injured Thais in Israel while the death toll and the number of abducted Thais remained unchanged there.
The minister reported on Sunday that the number of injured Thais in Israel amid the Israel-Hamas war has risen by two to 18. Meanwhile, the death toll and the number of abducted Thais remained the same at 30 and 19 respectively.
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said on Sunday that Thai authorities were trying all possible ways including personal connections to negotiate for the release of abducted Thais.
The Department of Consular Affairs said from Oct 11 to 22 (Sunday) 2,608 Thai people returned from Israelon 15 flights.
On Sunday seven Thai vocational students were among the returnees as they and their guardians decided to end their internships early in Israel for safety’s sake. Seventy-one other vocational students remained in Israel to complete their internship courses, according to the Education Ministry.
