Seventeen Sells Out Rajamangala Stadium

Even though numerous K-pop groups come to perform in Thailand, only a few sell out shows at Rajamangala National Stadium, the country’s biggest stadium. Seventeen became the third group after global sensations BTS and Blackpink to sell out the stadium, which has a capacity of 51,522.

Organised by Applewood Thailand, the 13-member group Seventeen will stage their concert Follow on Dec 23 at 6pm. Due to overwhelming demand and a sold-out first show, the organiser immediately added another performance for the following day. This year, Seventeen release the album FML which features diverse music genres such as hip-hop, electronic dance, R&B and ballad. The album set a new record in the K-pop industry with a remarkable 4.55 million copies sold within the first week of release.

Seventeen is one of several self-producing K-pop groups. The members engage in writing lyrics, composing music and contribute to the production process. The group is also famous for their charismatic stage presence, intricate choreography and impeccable synchronisation. Some of their popular songs are Don’t Wanna Cry, Very Nice and Left & Right.

Ticket prices range from 2,500 baht to 9,900 baht and are available at allticket.com.
