Fans of indie music seeking a spirited and rocking conclusion to the year should prepare to be swept away by the dynamic synergy of Bangkok's indie rock powerhouses, Hariguem Zaboy and Summer Dress, as they reunite for an unforgettable year-end bash at Blueprint Livehouse on Sukhumvit 26. Renowned for electrifying live performances, the two iconic bands are set to share the stage in a finale to 2023.
In an enthusiastic invitation to their followers on Facebook, Hariguem Zaboy declared: “End the year with us and our Summer Dress buddies on Dec 21; we will definitely go all out for this party!” Anticipation is high for a night that guarantees to be filled with the infectious energy and passion that both bands are known for.
Hailing from Bangkok, Hariguem Zaboy, a four-piece indie-rock ensemble, spearheads new experimental and daring musical acts. Pushing the boundaries of sound with chaotic vocal deliveries and screeching guitar arrangements, they evolved from their 90s shoegaze roots to their noise punk endeavour in John Young Sandwich (2022). With a discography that includes the acclaimed Think Mink (2014) and Kart (2017), Hariguem Zaboy promises a journey that is raw and exhilarating.
Sharing the spotlight is the avant-garde pop sensation Summer Dress, recognised for infusing their performances with quirky pop melodies, top-notch harmonies and intricate rhythms. Originating in the early 2000s, the band, consisting of singer and guitarist Tent, guitarist Nat, drummer Pam, and the new bassist Nott, is currently immersed in crafting their upcoming fourth album. Expect an eclectic mix of experimental pop as Summer Dress adds their unique flavour to the night.
