The festive vibe has once again taken over the Central Embassy in Bangkok's Phloen Chit. As a yearly tradition around the festive season, you can expect extravagant decor at key spots of the Central Embassy along with other promotions and activities. This year the annual campaign by Central runs until Jan 7.
Central Embassy is hosting the “Let’s Celebrate 2024: The Greatest Gift Of All” campaign to create a festive vibe for Christmas and the New Year. Santa Claus and angels are there to bring joy to customers under the concept of “The Greatest Gift Of All”.
Central Embassy is decked out throughout starting with the front yard where you can find a pièce de résistance of a magnificent 19-metre-tall Christmas tree popping out of a bulging red Santa’s sack, encircled by a a tiny town filled with lively little cottages all decked out in glittering lights.
At the drop-off spot near the Phloen Chit entrance, you can find Santa on a deer-pulled sleigh and angels as they fly over a tiny town.
The skywalk connecting level 1 of Central Embassy to BTS Ploechit is turned into a starry tunnel, which looks golden in the evening.
The passage that links Central Embassy and Central Chidlom is turned into a festive tunnel, adorned with Santa Claus and little angels granting wishes to everyone who passes through it.
A gift market occupies levels 2-6. Shop for gifts from more than 100 brands for your loved ones. On level 4, the Thai Gift and Souvenirs Association has gathered a great selection of items for you with more than 30 shops offering Christmas decorations, toys, stationery, and much more. For all the sweet tooths, check out Dessert Market on level 5. Treat yourself to offerings from renowned stores. Additionally, a complimentary gift-wrapping station with Central Embassy’s unique patterned paper specially designed for this event is available for all of your Central Embassy purchases.
Open House’s iconic Art Tower on level 6 has been transformed into a city topped with a large Christmas tree. There are also booths selling Christmas-themed gifts at The Greatest Gift Market x Oyster Market, hosted by Oyster and Things, a shop for vintage-style home furnishings. In addition, gift wrapping is available for customers who purchase products from the Oyster Market until Jan 7.
Last but not least, there’s a flying gift balloon with Santa floating in the atrium and it extends across several floors.
Besides festive decorations, there are also activities and promotions. There are lots of fun workshops for kids at the Merry Kid’s Mas event hosted by three well-known Thai artists who will engage with the kids in arts and crafts starting Dec 23. Plaster painting of the monster Kuma for Christmas will also be hosted by Maprang Chutipa. Then, take part in making Christmas Snow Globes by Oazzy Art Space on Dec 24. Lastly, join in for Christmas drawing with acrylic on canvas hosted by Suwimon Phongsumrit on Dec 25.
There are also a number of special events throughout the campaign, such as the Merry Gift Parade, where mascots in Xmas costumes spread joy. Customers are invited to capture their happy memories at the Snap & Share photo booth at Open House. A Christmas choir by Polo Glee Club takes place on Dec 24 from 5-5 pm before an orchestral music performance by Vietrio from 5.45-6.30pm. Foodies should check out exclusive offers from leading cafes and restaurants on levels 5 and 6. A menu with a special price will be available only on Dec 26.
