So Amazing Chefs to be held in November

The 11 edition of “So Amazing Chefs” will feature 11 chefs from around the world, with 12 Michelin stars between them, and 12 culinary activities from Nov 3-11, at So/ Bangkok.

Activities include a vineyard tour, masterclasses, cheeses, So Amazing Sunday Brunch and an exclusive chef’s table collaboration. Highlights not to be missed include a Culinary Showdown and a Dinner Cruise on the Chao Phraya River. Until Oct 3, get the special early bird offer, which is a 15% discount on all programmes.

The programme is scheduled as follows:

• Nov 3 — The Signature Cheese offering Les Frères Marchand cheeses with optional free-flow wine. At Mixo from 7-10pm and priced at B 1,200++ or B1,600++ with free-flow wine.

• Nov 4 — The Line Up and Welcome Reception from 6pm at Mixo. Eight courses from chefs Chin, Anderson Weiswasser and Gigg Kamol, priced at B6,000++ or B8,000++ with wine pairing.

• Nov 5 — So Amazing Chefs Brunch from noon to 3pm at Red Oven. Chefs Chin, Weiswasser, Scott, Van Der Veeken, Gigg Kamol and Les Frères Marchand will offer their specials for B2,500++, including soft beverages, or B1,500++ for free-flow wines and beer, or B2,900++ for free-flow Champagne.

• Nov 6 — The Vineyard from 7am-8pm at Monsoon Valley Vineyard, Hua Hin. Discover the growing Thai wine culture with a sparkling wine breakfast at So/ Bangkok, followed by a trip to Monsoon Valley Vineyard in Hua Hin, where you can tour the vineyard and meet with the vineyard’s resident elephants, and learn how wine is made, including the traditional method of crushing grapes by foot. Enjoy a laissez-faire-style BBQ picnic lunch, prepared by amazing chefs, in partnership with Monsoon Valley chefs paired with on-site wines, and complete your experience with a delightful cheese and wine afternoon tea. Chefs Scott, Van Der Veeken, Bonano and Weiswasser will be catering the lunch. Priced at B2,999++, including round-trip transfer in a shared bus between So/ Bangkok and Monsoon Valley Vineyard, Hua Hin. B4,999++ with wine.

• Nov 7 — Dessert Cooking Class from 10.30am to noon at Mixo with chef Piti, priced at B900++. Supper Club from 7-10pm at Mixo with an eight-course dinner by chefs Librandt, Chi, Anderson and Kiyama. Priced at B6,000++ or B8,000++ with wine pairing.

• Nov 8 — So Amazing Chefs Culinary Showdown from 6-10pm in the ballroom. A four-course dinner by chefs Librandt, Chin, Anderson, Weiswasser, Scott, Van Der Veeken, Kiyama and Bonano. Priced at B4,500++ with wine pairing.

• Nov 9 — Chefs On The Loose from 5pm on an evening tour of Bangkok, via a few hidden cocktail bars and a Thai-style dinner and street food snacks, before returning to Hi-So to party the night away. Priced at B3,800++, including nibbles, four drinks and an amenity pack.

• Nov 10 — So Amazing Chefs Dinner Cruise from 6-10pm. A dinner cruise comprising eight courses by chefs Librandt, Scott, Kiyama and Bonano, followed by an electrifying after-party under the Rama VIII Bridge. Priced at B8,000++ or B10,000++ with wine pairing.

• Nov 11 — Sake Soshi Night from 6-10pm at Mixo with a free-flow Japanese omakase feast by chefs Librandt, Anderson, Van Der Veeken, Kiyama and Clément Bonano. Priced at B6,500++ or B8,500++ with free-flow drinks. Party Finale from 1-9pm at The Water Club priced at B700 nett, including one drink.
